Family Owned & Operated Since 1946
Whether you are hungry on the road and driving by or you have just spent the last few hours exploring the fabulous Trees of Mystery just across the road with the kids, you are in for something equally unique at the Forest Cafe. One might ask, "What sort of dining experience could even possibly hope to compete with Paul Bunyan, Babe the Blue Ox, and a grand multitude of giant redwood trees?"
One dining area is given over to "forest environment" decor - in it a 26 foot high mural depicts the "Monarchs of the Mist", one of the wondrous scenes of nature in the world. The ceiling is covered by artificial foliage giving the feeling of dining in the forest. Birds "soar" among the rafters.
In the other room, unique "Under River" decor immerses you in the sense of being under water (perhaps in the Klamath river) looking up at steelhead, salmon and ducks swimming on the surface from down below. Looking up at the dangling feet of a duck, it may well be the most unusual dining experience of you life.
As wild as the decor may seem, there is nothing overly sophisticated or exotic on the menu of the Forest cafe, just good ol' breakfast, lunch, and dinner stuff. Come hungry and you will be satisfied with their good honest food and friendly efficient service. You will also have a chance to get a change of perspective from the everyday day-to-day, and leave with just a little bit different view of the world. To view a PDF of our current Menu [Click here].
