Two residents of the planet Earth. The rightmost one represents a line that runs from the Mesozoic era to today and geographically spanned the Northern hemisphere. Living as long as 2200 years, the average age appears to be around 600 years. A typical forest of these trees will contain more biomass per square foot than any other place on earth. Diameters can reach 18-24 feet, but average around 9 feet. Heights can be up to 375 feet. The average tree has approximately the same volume as 3 or 4 school buses lined up nose to tail.
